Cambodia Online Visa for Mexicans

If you are planning a trip to explore Cambodia’s many islands or tourist attractions, you will be required to obtain a visa prior to entry as a Mexican citizen. Thankfully, Cambodia’s e-Visa is simple to apply for and allows for hassle-free travel through all major air and land borders.
Take careful note of the guidelines below to prepare for your Cambodian e-Visa application.
Documents Required for Mexican Citizens
The Cambodian e-Visa online application process is designed to be straightforward and user-friendly, requiring just an email address, an application form, a few documents, and an online payment.
The following visa requirements for Mexican citizens are applicable in order to obtain an eVisa for Cambodia:
- An application form for the Cambodian e-Visa
- Your Mexican passport, valid for at least 6 months validity from the date of your arrival in Cambodia
- One recent digital passport photo, in JPG or PNG format
- Online payment via debit or credit card
- An email address to complete the application process
Applying for a Cambodian e-Visa as a Mexican Citizen
Travelers are advised to apply for their Cambodian e-Visa for Mexican citizens a minimum of 4 business days before the intended period of travel. Processing usually takes between 24 hours and 3 days from application.
To begin your Cambodian visa for Mexican citizens application process, you will be required to complete an online application form.
This form should take no longer than about 15 minutes to complete, and requires information such as the traveler’s name, date of birth and address, passport details including passport number and expiry date, and the reason for travel.
Please note that each applicant’s passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the proposed date of entry into Cambodia.
When applying for a Cambodia e-Visa as a Mexican citizen, you will be required to upload a recent digital passport photograph, in either JPG or PNG format. This photo must be in full color with a white background, and with the applicant looking directly ahead with both eyes open.
On completing the application form, a secure online payment can be made by credit or debit card.
Once the application is complete and payment received, travelers can expect their e-Visa to be issued within a maximum of 3 business days.
The vast majority of visa applications by Mexican citizens are approved without the need for further documentation, but in rare cases the embassy may contact the traveler to ask for supporting documentation such as health information (immunization and vaccination details) or financial information (for example a recent bank statement or a letter from an employer). To avoid delays, it is advisable to have this information available should it be required.
Once issued, the e-Visa is linked to your passport, however, a copy is also sent to the email address provided in the application. This copy should be printed and kept on hand in case it is needed by an immigration officer at your port of entry.
Visa Validity and Length of Stay
Cambodian e-Visas for Mexican citizens are valid for a period of up to 30 days from the traveler’s first date of entry.
It is possible to extend your visa once during your stay. Visa extensions are granted for a further 30 days only, allowing for a total of 60 days in the country.
Ports of Entry
The most common means of entering the country as a tourist is via one of the country’s three international airports:
- Phnom Penh International Airport
- Siem Riep International Airport
- Sihanoukville International Airport
Overland travel from neighboring states is also possible via the following ports of entry:
- Thailand: Cham Yeam – Koh Kong
- Thailand: Poi Pet – Banteay Meanchey
- Vietname: Bavet – Svay Rieng
- Laos: Tropaeng Kreal Border Post
It is not possible for holders of the tourist visa to enter Cambodia via one of the country’s seaports.
