To be eligible for the eVisa it is necessary to meet all the Cambodia Visa requirements. This includes having a passport from one of the eligible countries and paying a fee using a credit or debit card.

To meet the Cambodia eVisa requirements, travelers also need to provide a copy of a recent passport photo and the biographical page of their passport. Applicants can provide these documents after they make the initial application.

  • Must be recent (last 6 months)
  • No Smiling: The facial expression must be neutral, no smiling
  • White Background: The photo must have a completely white background
  • Shoulders: The applicant’s face and shoulders must be visible.
  • Position: The position of the face and shoulders must be straight and not at an angle
  • Color: The applicant’s photograph must be in full color
  • Eyes open, looking directly ahead

Cambodia Entry Methods

Travelers can enter Cambodia by air, land or sea. Siem Reap International Airport provides access to the temples of Angkor and Sihanoukville International Airport offers connections to neighboring countries.

Visitors can enter by land using any of the land border crossings. There are 7 with Vietnam, 5 with Thailand, and one with Laos. There are also 3 major sea ports: Sihanoukville on the Gulf of Siam, Phnom Penh on the Mekong River, and the provincial port of Koh Kong.

Cambodia-Thailand border

There are multiple ways of traveling between Cambodia and Thailand. Travelers can either fly by plane, travel by boat or cross one of the 5 border crossings by land. The most common way of crossing the border is by bus. There are immigration checkpoints where passports and visas are checked by the border authorities.
